Anuradha Paudwal is one among the popular female singers in Bollywood. This extremely talented singer sung for scores of Hindi movies. Apart from singing for Hindi movies, she is also distinguished for the many devotional songs. Anuradha Paudwal began her musical career by singing in the celebrated Bollywood movie entitled "Abhimaan" featuring Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan. She had sung a Shloka in this film. Though S.D Burman is the music director of this film, Lata Mangeshkar demands that Hridaynath Mangeshkar gave Anuradha Paudwal the first break as a singer for a Marathi movie.
As far as the educational background of Anuradha Paudwal is concerned, she studied at the St. Xavier's College. In her college days, Anuradha participated in several cultural programs arranged in her college. Though she sung in the college programs, she did not possess any film music background. She was married to Arun Paudwal who was S.DBurman's music arranger. Anuradha Paudwal got a great break in the movie entitled "kailcharan" featuring Reena Roy and Shatrugan Sinha. Rajesh Roshan was the music director of this film. However, she sang her first solo in the movie "Aap Beeti".
Anuradha sang in this movie under the direction of Laxmikant-Pyarelal. In fact, Anuradha Paudwal has got several hit songs which she sung under Laxmikant-Pyarelal.
Apart from singing under Laxmikant-Pyarelal, She also sang a gamut of songs under the famous music directors like Jaidev, Usha Khanna, Kalyanji-Anandji, and Rajesh Roshan. Anuradha Paudwal sang for Rajesh Roshan in the film "Des Pardes". For Kalyanji-Anandji, she sang in the movies like "Kalaakar" and "Vidhataa".
Not only did she sing in Hindi films, but Anuradha also sung for several Marathi films. She sang for the Anil-Arun in many Marathi films. Her hit songs in Marathi include "Raja Lalkaari", "Disatein Mazlaa", and "Kaalya Maatita Maatitaa". Anuradha Paudwal received the first Filmfare Award for her song in "Mere Mann Bajaa Mirang Utsav". She got this award in the year 1985. She also sang in the films like "Meera Ka Mohan", "Ram Lakhan", "Tezaab", "Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin", and "Lal Dupatta Malmal Ka".
In the year 1990, Anuradha Paudwal received a Filmfare award for the song "Nazar Ke Saamne". She sung this song for the film "Aashiqui ". Again in 1991, she got the Filmfare award for the song " Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin" which appeared in the film with the same name. She received the Filmfare Award for "Dhak Dhak" in 1992. She suing this for the movie "Beta".
