S. Ali Raza was one of the leading Bollywood screenwriters of the yesteryears. He was also a famous movie director. S. Ali Raza was born in the year 1922. Several hit films like Andaz, Reshma Aur Shera, Raja Jani, Aan, Mother India and Dus Numbri can be credited to him. In other words, S. Ali Raza wrote the script for these successful films.

S. Ali Raza was one of the finest screenwriters of Bollywood. In fact, he was counted among the best Bollywood directors. In 1968, S. Ali Raza won the Filmfare award for being the best dialogue writer. This was for the movie, Saraswatichandra.

In 1975, S. Ali Raza directed a very popular film titled Pran Jaye Par Vachan Na Jaye. He rose to instant fame after this. S. Ali Raza wrote the dialogues for the film, Aan. Here, his wife Nimmi appeared as the lead actress. He died at the age of 85 on November 1, 2007.
