Apart from being the eldest son of Raj Kapoor, the legendary Bollywood actor, Randhir Kapoor is.a famous director of Bollywood. He also dons the hats of an actor as well as a producer. As a member of the famous family of actors in Bollywood, he involved himself in films from a young age. His debut film as an actor was `Kal Aaj Aur Kaal` in which his father Raj Kapoor, grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor and wife Babita also acted. This film was also directed by him.

He continued his acting career in quite a few films both a leading actor and also as a second lead. These include films like `Pukar` where he played the role of a freedom fighter in Goa. Before taking up full-fledged direction, Randhir Kapoor also worked as a producer. The first film in which he was a producer was `Ram Teri Ganga Maili`. This film which starred Mandakini and his younger brother Rajiv Kapoor made him a renowned name in the field of production. Then he produced `PremGranth` in which Rishi Kapoor starred with Madhuri Dixit. The last film till date that he produced is `Aa Ab Laut Chalen` which is the directorial debut of his brother Rishi Kapoor.
