Naksha is considered as one of the popular Bollywood thriller movies. The movie was released on 8th September, 2006. It is a 126-minute complete entertainer packed with adventure, thrills and action. Naksha has been distributed by Om Films Pvt Ltd.

Story of Naksha

According to the Indian epic, Mahabharata the Kurkshetra battle was fought between the Pandavas and Kauravas. Karan, the unacknowledged son of Kunti, fought the battle on the side of the Kauravas. Karan had a body armor through which no spear or weapon could penetrate through.

Thus, the enemy could never kill him when he wears the armor. The armor literally made him immortal. The Gods in the heaven feared that Karan`s armor would make the Pandavas loose the battle. This would change the sequence of events in history. Kunti met Karana and asked him to give the armor to her. Karan could not refuse his mother`s wish and gave her the armor. After the battle was over the armor was buried in the mountains in Uttaranchal in India.

The story of Naksha is written at the backdrop of the events written in Mahabharata. Kapil Malhotra played by the actor Trilok Malhotra is an archaeologist who comes across a map showing where the ancient armor was hidden. He never wanted the map to fall in wrong hands. His assistant Baali played by Jackie Shroff came to know about the map and wanted to possess it .He wanted to become immortal. Kapil Malhotra chose death by jumping off the cliff rather than giving the map to Baali. Kapil had 2 sons Veer (Sunny Deol) from his first marriage and Vicky ( Vivek Oberoi) from the second marriage. Twenty years after the death of Kapil Malhotra, Vicky finds a copy of the map in his father`s old house which leads to Karan`s immortal armor. He sets off to to find the treasure in the mountains.

Vicky`s mother asks Veer to bring his younger step brother home. On his journey to find the armor Vicky gets kidnapped. Veer comes to his rescue. He convinces him to go back home with him. But, Vicky is adamant to find the armor ands solve the mystery surrounding the map. So, unable to leave Vicky alone he accompanies him in his quest. As they travel through forests and ravines they meet a girl Ria played by Sameera Reddy. The trio -Veer, Vicky and Ria set off on the adventurous treasure hunt. Meanwhile, Baali found the armor and planned to unleash terror in the world. At the last the two brothers save the world from Baali by getting the armor from him.

Naksha is a movie worth watching.
