The story of Humraaz- the Hindi thriller is about an ambitious young couple named Karan and Priya. Karan aspires to become rich very fast and for this he uses Priya played by Amisha Patel. They work in a music troupe. Priya is in deep love with Karan and she is always agreed to make him happy. Karan misuses her innocence and her love and uses her as a pawn.



The twist of the story comes when they meet industrialist Raj Singhania played by Bobby Deol. Raj falls in love with Priya at first sight. Raj proposes to Priya and she agrees to his proposal. Karan is extremely happy to know the fact because it was his brainchild. He asked Priya to act with Raj as if she is in love with the guy and to convince him for marriage. After marriage, she will divorce her by reason of impotency and ask handsome alumni.

Raj and Priya get married. Raj, a wealthy industrialist, belongs to a very rich and aristocrat family. He takes his wife to his palatial house. The warm welcome, cordial behavior of his family to Priya wins her heart. Raj is a caring and loving husband. His love and care towards his wife slowly changes Priya's mind. Unknowingly, she also falls in love with him. Now she refuses to listen to Karan. But Karan is not ready to leave his dream. He starts blackmailing her. Priya informs Raj about her past and Karan's plan. Then, Karan starts blackmailing both of them. After lots of suspense Karan is killed by Raj.

Akshaye Khanna is outstanding as Karan Malhotra. He won IIFA Award for best performance in negative role in this film. The film was nominated for around 14 awards including a number of Filmfare Awards. Bobby Deol and Amisha Patel also performed very well.

Humraaz is one of the best Hindi Thriller Movies Abbas-Mustan made. It a must see film for everyone.
