The immense success of this movie made history in Indian film industry. Baazigar was made by the director duo Abbas-Mustan. The music of the film is among the best works by Anu Malik. The movie won four Filmfare Awards. These include the award for best actor, best male playback singer, best music direction and best screenplay. It was nominated for six more Filmfare awards. The interesting and thrilling plot of Baazigar- the Hindi thriller was quite unusual during the 1990s. The plot was somehow different from the usual Bollywood Thriller Movies. The story is influenced by the famous Hollywood blockbuster A Kiss Before Dying. Ajay Sharma, a young, attractive and dynamic character, is the heartthrob of two sisters, Seema and Priya, daughters of Madan Chopra, a rich industrialist. Ajay transforms his make up and flirts with both the girls.



Ajay always look for revenge against Madan Chopra, who had betrayed his father years ago. He had played filthy tricks to occupy the business of his father. Madan Chopra took the advantage of trust and love of Ajay's father. He ruined his family. Ajay's father and sister die within few days and that shock made his mother insane. Ajay takes oath to take revenge on Madan Chopra.

The first shock comes to Madan Chopra's life when his elder daughter, Seema dies of an accident. In the time of this crisis, Ajay becomes very close to Madan Chopra's family. Chopra starts relying and counting on him. He selects Ajay as his son-in-law and Priya and Ajay get engaged. Chopra leaves city handing the power of attorney to Ajay. Now Ajay plays the same game which Chopra played years ago to ruin his father. He occupies the business industry, leaving Chopra penniless. On his return, he reveals to Copra his true identity and the reasons behind his deeds. He plans to kill Ajay.

Priya comes to know that Ajay is the killer of her sister. She reaches his home and comes to know all misdeed of her father. She meets Ajay's insane mother. At that time Chopra sends some professional killers in Ajay's house to murder Ajay. At the end of the film, we see Ajay takes his revenge on Chopra by killing him, though he also died. The support of Priya goes to Ajay, not to her father.

The acting of Shahrukh Khan is simply mind blowing. It is the debut film of Shilpa Shetty.
