The film starts with Heeraman taking two consecutive promises during his hardship days. Then one day he meets an urban dancer named Hirabai with whom he falls in love. The story of the film revolves around the love of Heeraman and Hirabai. The director very skillfully presents the story to the audience, which made the movie very touching.

The nomination for the Grad Prix was prestigious and the movie was nominated in the Moscow International Film Festival in 1967.
