The music for Safed Haathi has been scored by Ravindra Jain while R A Jalan and Pratap Agarwal are the producers. Storyline of Safed Haathi

The movie Safed Haathi has a story that deals with the bond of a kid and a white elephant from the jungle. The kid, who comes in contact with the white elephant, gradually develops a bond of friendship and the two start spending time in the jungles. Meanwhile, a hunter comes into the forest and decides to entrap the white elephant and take him away to the city.

The kid, who comes to know of the plan, feels bad and tries to ensure that his friend, the white elephant, does not fall prey to the tricks of the hunter, which is played by Shatrughan Sinha. However, the hunter and his men hold the kid and force the elephant to come and then take him away to be sold to a circus. Later on though, the hunter and his men realize the unique bond of friendship of the kid and the elephant and release the elephant to the familiar environs of freedom in the jungle.

A well made movie, Safed Haathi is regarded as one of the best from Tapan Sinha. The child psychology has been dealt in very well while the harmonious relation among the man and the animal has been exhibited in an extremely rationale way. This two and a half hour popular Hindi movie has a strong screenplay that is able to captivate the audiences for long. The music too is quite pleasing while the jungles and the natural settings and jungle scenes too are able to increase the interest.
