Actor Mohan Agase was cast as Keshav. Female actor Rati Agnigotri portrayed the role of Geeta. Vikas Anand played the role of an inspector. In the film Avtar Gill acted as Mohan and Gulshan Grover as Munna. Mashaal has become a popular movie mainly because of the brilliant performance delivered by veteran actor Dilip Kumar. He played the role of Vinod Kumar. Anil Kapoor was cast as Raja. Veteran female actor Waheeda rehman acted in the role of Sudha Kumar. Annu Kapoor played a little cameo role as Nagesh. Actor Alok Nath was portrayed as Dinesh and Harish Magon as Damodar.

Production of the film Mashaal

Mashaal was released in all over India on 12th January in the year 1984. The Bollywood social film was a huge hit. Acting performances of Dillip kumar, Waheeda Rehman and Anil Kapoor got critical acclaim from several movie critics and film magazines. The dialog and screenplay of Mashaal was written by Javed Akhtar. The film was directed by one of the most renowned Hindi film directors, Yash Chopra.

About the film Mashaal

Vinod Kumar is a daredevil journalist who wants to clean up his city from the criminals and antisocial elements by publishing reports about them. He lives in a chawl with Sudha, his wife. Some young goons live by the side of the street. Their gang is headed by Raja. Although he is a goon but he is quite good at heart. Vardhan and Tolaram are the two major criminals. Many scenes follow that shows the fight of these bad men with that of the good ones. Several twists and turns leads this film towards some of the most captivating scenes. Acting of Dilip Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Anil kapoor and Amris Puri are worth watching.
