Golmaal is one of the most popular social movies, released in India in the year 2006. This is a comedy film. This film unfolds the story of 4 people in a very comic way. In this comedy movie we see 4 young men Laxman, Madhav, Lucky and Gopal, known for their child like wickedness. They have no definite aim in their lives. The only aim of their life is to make the people fool either for the sake of fun or money. Among these four friends, Laxman was very good in study. But he could not become successful in the examination coming under the influence of the other members of the group.

The hostel room of Laxman was used by the gang as their den. Laxman ran a lot of cheating enterprises along with his peers from his hostel room. This had to be done by the group for earning their livelihoods. But this practice did not run for a long time. After a few days the hostel authority drove away the four naughty boys from the hostel. The gang of four started to find another place for safe dwelling.

The story of Golmaal took a dramatic as well as queer turn at this point. Laxman and his friend got shelter in the house of a blind couple. They stayed in the bungalow of this blind couple as their grandson. Gopal's voice resembled the voice of the grandson of the blind couple. Laxman's body resembled the figure of the grandson. In these way the the gang of four lived in the household of the blind couple as their grandson.

The story of the film Golmaal becomes more interesting after the appearance of female character. Nirali appears in the scene. Every member of the gang tries their best to win the heart of the actress. Their efforts of winning the heart of the young girl creates laughter. This film, like most of the films of Bolly wood has another side in it. The gang of four engages themselves in an attempt to find out the hidden treasure from the home of the blind couple.

The role of the blind couple is played by Paresh Rawal and Sushmita Mukherjee. Roles of Laxman, Madhav, Lucky and Gopal are played by Sharman Joshi, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Ajay Debgan.
