Ghar is a very famous Indian movie that portrays the love and troubles of every house in Indian context. As you watch the movie "Ghar", the sentimental frames along with marvelous acting by Rekha and Vinod Mehra will surely touch your heart.

About Ghar:

Ghar was released in the year 1978. This movie was a big hit for its brilliant storyline that sank in the hearts of all Indians. Dinesh Thakur wrote the dialogues for the film where as the shooting of the film was done in the Essel Studios in Mumbai.

Story of the Ghar:

The film is about a newly wed couple who is deeply with each other and moves to a new apartment after marriage. The initial portion of the film is all about love and happiness where the couple enjoys life in absolute happiness. One day, while returning from a late night movie show, they were stuck on the road, as there was no transportation available.



Unsuccessful in finding a taxi, the couple decides to walk back home. On the road, they were attacked by four goons who beat up Vikas (Vinod Mehra) and gang rape Aarti (Rekha).

Soon this incident becomes known in their locality. People began to look at the couple differently, which embarrassed them in public. The incident was blown out so far that politicians started using it for their advantage in campaigns. Though Vikas tried to help Aarti recover from the trauma, a loveless phase comes in their relation and Aarti loses faith in all males.

The problem shown in this film is so genuine that it touched the hearts of millions. The realistic acting of Rekha added more beauty to the film.

Starcast of Ghar:

Many good actors were part of this movie in different roles. These are Vinod Mehra, Rekha, Prema Narayan, Asit Sen, Dinesh Thakur, Shashi Kiran, C.S. Dubey, Viju Khote, Tarla Mehta, Alankar Joshi, Madan Kumar, Major Anand, Paresh Nanda and Bhaskar Roy Chowdhury to name a few.

Music in Ghar

The music of Ghar was also a big hit. There were five musical track sin the movie and they were all different from one another. Though the theme of the songs was love, the melody and rhythm were all unique and individual. The most famous song of the film was 'Tere Bina Jiya Jaye Na', which is a popular caller tune and ring tone even today.
