About the movie Aasman:
The story of the film is about a rich army captain who led a very happy and luxurious life with his mother and sister. The role of army captain was played by Rajiv Kapoor. Once he saw that a girl was trying to commit suicide and saved her. Gradually they fell in love and their marriage date was fixed. However, the story twisted when a war broke out before the marriage date and Captain Kapoor had to leave.

Chandan, a replica of Captain Kapoor supplied food to the army camp. Kapoor and Chandan became friends eventually. But Chandan had other plans when he came to know about the luxury of Kapoor. Assaulting Kapoor at the battlefield, Chandan appeared at Kapoor's house to fulfill his evil aspirations.

The drama of the movie was handled well by the director as the actors did a good job.

Rajiv Kapoor acted in more than thirteen movies, however, was not successful like his brothers, Rishi and Randhir. One of the biggest hit in the career of Rajiv Kapoor was "Ram Teri Ganga Maili", which released in 1985. Later he moved to direction and PremGranth was his first directorial debut.

Tina Munim was also a part of Aasman. She is a famous actor who has acted in many famous movies such as Baton Baton Mein (1979), Des Pardes (1980), Rocky (1981), Deedar-E-Yaar (1982), Souten (1983), Bewafai (1985), Aakhir Kyon? (1985), Muqaddar Ka Faisla (1987), and Bade Dilwala (1999).

Mala Sinha was also famous female actor of the age who was also a part of the film, Aasman. She is known for her ability to play versatile roles. Pyaasa (1957), Bewaqoof (1960), Pooja Ke Phool (1964), Apne Huye Paraye (1964), Bahu Beti (1965), Do Kaliyan (1968), Zindagi (1976), Mazdoor Zindabaad (1976) are some of the famous movies of Mala Sinha.

The songs of Aasman, especially "ban ke nazar" was a big hit that was loved by people for its melodious rhythm.
