One of the favorite Bollywood romantic movies is Yaaraana. This Bollywood blockbuster movie was released in 1995. The movie starred famous actors like Madhuri Dixit, Rishi Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor, Kader Khan and Raj Babbar. The main characters of Yaaraana have been played by Madhuri Dixit, Rishi Kapoor and Raj Babbar.

The character Lalita played by Madhuri Dixit is a nice and happy girl. She catches the attention of JB played by Raj Babbar. JB immediately falls in love, seeing her and decides to marry this Lalita who is a beautiful dancer. Lalita`s uncle Madhi arranges for their marriage as he is paid handsomely by JB who will go to any extent to get married to Lalita.

In the movie Yaaraana, Lalita refuses to marry JB which makes him angry. Therefore JB kidnaps her and takes her in his home to keep her there till the day of the wedding. Unfortunately Lalita is keenly watched over by JB every single day so that she cannot escape.



Lalita pretends to faint on her wedding day which she uses as a ploy to escape. She escapes and also moves her mother to a safer place. Lalita who is aware of JB`s immense powers is scared that he might try to harm her mother also. Meanwhile in the movie, Yaaraana, JB pursues her. He misses her and sees her hit by a car and assumes that she was killed. But actually Lalita has exchanged her wedding dress with another girl. Therefore Lalita was not the girl which JB saw.

She flees from the city and meets Raj played by Rishi Kapoor. She at first uses him as a cover. But later both starts liking and falls in love. Lalita uses a new name Shikha here. Rai Saheb played by Kader Khan was Raj`s grandfather. Rai Saheb becomes very happy on knowing that his grandson wants to marry Shikha. Raj`s grandfather arranges for a grand wedding for his loving grandson

After a blissful period which is indeed short-lived, again the cunning JB gets to know that Lalita is still alive. He gets this information from her mother and goes in search for her. He traces her and finds Lalita in a fairground with Raj. After seeing this, JB becomes furious and tells Raj`s family about the Lalita`s past with the help of her cunning uncle.

JB takes away Lalita forcefully to make her wife for the rest of her life. After all this she becomes desperate and tries to undo the injustice done to her. In the end, Yaaraana like most Bollywood movies have a happy ending. JB gets killed and finally Lalita marries Raj.
