The movie features the aspect of the differences of lives of the rich and the middle class at the same time who unite for the reason of love. Dolly being a rich girl is brought up with a lavish lifestyle by her brother, Rakesh who is the responsible one among the two has always managed the family business and also covered up for Dolly's extravagant lifestyles. Dolly is infatuated with a singer named Tony and fate brings her in contact with him and they fall in love with each other. In the mean time Tony's sister Shanti has joined Rakesh's estate to work as a cook. Rakesh falls in love with Shanti and proposes to marry her.



The couples get married on the same day and from here onwards the real story surfaces as Dolly out of her immaturity humiliates Tony's mother a lot not only in front of her friends but also gets her admitted to a government hospital when she's ill. Dolly's friends also scheme to break up the marriage and reunite her with her previous boy friend names Monty. Rakesh on the other hand tries hard to keep the marriage going between Tony and Dolly but all in vain as Dolly doesn't want to listen to any body and keeps on humiliating Tony's mother.

Tony on knowing of the kind of treatment his mother was meted out with is infuriated and leaves not only his job but also his wife, Dolly and goes ahead to pursue a career in singing and due to his efforts and hard work succeeds in curving out his own niche as a popular singer. Dolly in the process realizes her share of the mistakes with Tony and his mother.
