This 1981 Bollywiood release mostly revolves around the central characters of Kisanchand played by Shreeram Lagoo, his wife Shanti (Nirupa Roy), their son Professor Pyarelal (Vinod Mehra) and a host of other characters played by Zeenat Aman, Dharamendra, Simi Garewal, Jeevan, Shammi Kapoor, Amjad Khan, Mac Mohan, Nadira and many more.

In this movie Kisanchand is known to have taken to the profession of crime and at the request of his wife and Shanti and son Pyarelal he leaves the path of crime but on the request of Shyamlal he made a fake passport for a suitcase full of gold bars. Unfortunately Kisanchand was tracked down by inspector Shinde who got murdered while fighting it out with Kisanchand. Kisanchand, believing that his wife and son were burned alive during Diwali fireworks went off to London and established himself as a Don over there known as King.



Over the years King came across con man Ronnie posing to be his son and later he is again reunited with his seemingly real son and wife. Amidst all this he finds out that his so called real son is not his son, he is actually inspector Shinde's son, named Ram Shinde. In the mean time another character named Sonia Singh surfaced with the expectation of killing Kisanchand as due to his crime of killing Shinde, Sonia's father was convicted behind the bars for 14 years. This thriller romantic movie of Bollywood has successfully concealed the identity of the real Professor Pyarelal who is also the real son of Kisanchand.

This movie focuses not only on the aspect of romance and suspense but also has strong acting skills from the artists to offer. Though the storyline of this movie follows the typical Bollywood movie style yet one of the strong points in this movie was the acting skills of the experienced actors and artists like Zeenat Aman, Dharamendra, Nirupa Roy and Vinod Mehra etc. This movie serves the purpose of intriguing the audiences to the best of its abilities as most of us have to wait till the end of this movie to find out as to who the real Professor Pyarelal is and who finally succeeds in murdering Kisanchand.
