Kitne Door Kitne Pass is one of the romantic movies of Bollywood. This movie launched Amrita Arora in Bollywood. Though the movie failed to create a mark in Bollywood, yet Kitne Door Kitne Pass is sweet and worth-viewing.
This particular movie was directed and produced by Mehul Kumar. Mehul has relied much on coincidence to unite his two lead characters till the end. The music is given by Sanjeev Darshan and lyrics are by Anand Bakshi. Though the music was not able to create an impact on the audience, yet as you listen to KK's "Rulati hai mohabbatein", you will get involved in it. This particular song is loved by teenagers.
The direction is not that impressive. The director fails to create the suspense in the audience and the film appears too archetypal and banal that one can almost predict the next scene. You get to see a contrasting picture of orthodox and liberal Indian parents. The cinematography is good. Fardeen and Amrita did their job well. Amrita in her debut film did well and the role also suited her well.
The film starts with Jatin (Fardeen Khan) who is returning to India from United States to tie knot with a simple, traditional Indian girl Jaya played by Sonali Kulkarni. Karishma (Amrita Arora) is also returning to her home from U.S to marry Nimesh played by Ayub Khan.
Both of them meet each other at a shopping mall in America and then again in the airport. You will see them running into each other for the major part of the movie. After arriving in India they listen that their flight to respective places has been cancelled and both of them take the same taxi and head for the same destination Vijayanagar in Gujarat. After interacting with each other they come to know that both of them are going back home to marry the girl or boy of their parents' choice.
They take a bus, which, for some strange reasons, is meant for married couples only. So, Jatin and Karishma have to pretend to be husband and wife. It is exactly here that the chemistry between them changes from aversion to infatuation and later into love. But for the reputation of their parents, they decide to part. But finally they get united on their wedding day through a strange incident which happens to be coincident and nothing else.
