One of the top-class Bollywood romantic movies is Kareeb. The movie Kareeb was directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. He is one of the well known directors in Bollywood. However, Birju does not pay heed to what his father says and instead is interested in petty thievery, lies, and romancing with a beautiful young woman named Neha. When Birju proposes Neha for marriage, his mom and dad hope that this will set him on the right path, and accordingly they approve of his marriage with Neha. However, Neha finds out the truth that Birju does nothing and earns no money. She refuses to marry him, and re-locates to another town with her mom.

Birju is unable to get Neha out of his mind, and is deeply in love with her. Birju decides to run away from his home in order to find Neha and solve all miss-understandings with her.

When he locates Neha and her mom, he finds Neha`s mom to be hospitalized. When Birju makes inquiries in the hospital, he is told that Neha`s mom needs a major surgery. Birju also comes to know that the operation will cost a lot of money and Neha is not in a position to arrange for the cash.

Out of sheer love for Neha, Birju steal money to pay for the surgery, and when he goes to deposit the money at the hospital, he finds out to his dismay that her operation has already taken place. He also learns that Neha is going to marry the doctor who performed the operation and arranged for the money.

Finally, the miss-understanding between Neha and Birju goes away and both of them gets united. The film Kareeb has a happy ending.

Bobby Deol with his different haircut looks nice in Kareeb. Neha is a newcomer in Bollywood and has a pretty face. Vidhu Vinod Chopra is one of the finest directors of Bollywood.

Thus, Kareeb is a film to be watched, as it beautifully portrays the life of a boy and a girl in a tinsel town, their love and final union at the end of the movie.
