Directed by Sajid Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Heyy Babyy was one of the most popular Bollywood romantic movies of 2007. Noted for his hilarious comedy movies, Sajid Khan has once again proved his mettle in his film Heyy Baby.

The cast of Heyy Babyy featuring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Fardeen Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Boman Irani and the heavy-weight crew ensured that the movie was a major success. One of the romantic Bollywood movies, Heyy Babyy released on August 24, 2007 and kept the cash registers ringing since then.

Three bachelors from Sydney Arush (Akshay Kumar), Ali (Fardeen Khan), and Tanmay (Ritesh Deshmukh) enjoy falling in and out of love in Sydney. Flirting is their common pastime. They sleep around recklessly, shying away from any sort of commitment. Arush says he has little time for one woman, as he gets a lot of them in the nightclub where he works. Tanmay is contented with his job as eddy Teddy playing in kitty parties. Ali is involved in match fixing, to eke out his living. He confesses about his weakness for women.



There is a twist in the tale of Heyy Babyy as three of them find a little baby at the doorstep, who will make them three of them cry is the tagline of the movie. Their lives will take a different course soon after. Three of them indulge in a friendly quarrel holding each other responsible as the child`s father. This makes for a hilarious scene. They find it difficult to look after the child as the baby keeps them awake all day and night. They hardly get time to sleep, resulting in their rash attitude at their workplace.

They resent taking responsibilities of the baby from the start and wish to get rid of her as soon as they can. They decide to drop her at the church gate. However pangs of conscience strike them as they find the baby on the death bed. Ardent prayers help them get back Angel, the little baby. The three lecherous bachelors are now transformed into caring fathers, the turning point of Heyy Babyy. But their happiness does not last for long. Esha, Vidya Balan, who incidentally was Akshay`s ex-flame, claims her child. Akshay soon learns that Angel was his and Esha`s child. The aggrieved father and a repentant boyfriend now wish to get both Esha and Angel back into his life.

Esha misunderstood Arush and thinks that he had cheated on her. She is willing to marry anyone who will be able to take care of her and her child. Arush and his friends devise plans. His friends visit Esha`s house as prospective suitors. These scenes have the audience in splits. In the end, Arush is able to convince Esha of his love and both live happily ever after.

A short cameo of Shahrukh Khan in the song Dil Ka Mamla Hai Dilbar has the audience drooling. The famous trio Shankar, Ehsan and Loy adds yet another musical hit in their kitty with brilliant scores in Heyy Babyy. This romantic movie is all about pure fun and entertainment.
