Dil Vil Pyar Vyar is a romantic Hindi movie that was released in the year 2002. The film was directed by Anant Mahadevan and was produced by Meju Khan and Vivek Vaswani. Dil Vil Pyar is pretty romantic movie that was quiet popular among the movie buffs of all age groups.
The film stars Madhavan, Jimmy Shergill, Sanjay Suri, Namrata Shirodkar, Hrishita Bhatt, Sonali Kulkarni, Rakesh Bapat, Riya Sen and others. Apart from these actors caste members includes Gulshan Grover, Kiran Kumar, Asrani, Dipannita Sharma, Reeta Bhuaduri, Gufi Paintal and a lot more.
There are three different stories in the movie that are intertwined into a single plot in the end. The first story weaves around Madhavan and Namrata. Kris (Madhavan) and Raksha (Namrata) are both married.
They are aspiring singers and want to be the most successful stars of the country. But eventually Raksha gets a better opportunity and becomes more successful. In course of time a rift develops in between the two.
The second story reflects the life of a widower. Sanjay Suri who plays the role of Dev marries Dipanta Sharma (Payal) who dies soon after. After her death Dev together with his sister Rachna (Bhavna Pani) shifts from Pune to Mumbai. It is here where Dev meets Gauri (Sonali Kulkarni). She lives with her brother Gaurav(Rakesh Bapt). He is a psychosomatic patient. With the passage of time, both Dev and Gauri fall in love with another. Rachna also starts loving Gaurav.
The third story is of Hrithik (Jimmy Shergill) and Jojo (Hrishitaa Bhatt). While Hrithik belongs to a millionaire family, Jojo is portrayed as an independent girl of a mediocre family. In the end all the 3 friends- Dev, Krish and Hritik compete for a musical competition. All the 3 participate in the musical competition with their different aims. All the 3 stories finally end happily. The movie was a big hit of its time. There are about 14 songs of R.D. Burman. All the songs are a delight for all.
While Rajkumar K. is the cinematographer, the film is edited by Sanjib Datta. The film was later dubbed in Tamil "Kaetravallum Padaven". Most of the shootings were done in Abu Dhabi, Burj-al-Arab Hotel of United Arab Emirates. Some of the popular scenes of the film were shot in Sharjah.
The film deals a lot with human emotions. The songs are nicely shot and reflect the situation deftly.
