Different types of movies are made by some of the most talented filmmakers in Bollywood every year and a major percentage of the movies Deewana Mastana is one of the popular Bollywood romantic films. The movie was released on 23rd September, 1997. Deewana Mastana is an outright romantic comedy.
Cast of Deewana Mastana
The cast of Deewana Mastana includes Anil Kapoor, Govinda, Juhi Chawla and Johnny Lever in the leading roles. Other actors in the movie include Anupam Kher, Reema Lagoo, Saeed Jaffrey, Upasana Singh, Himani Shivpuri, Avtar Gil and Guddie Maruti. There is a special appearance by Salman Khan.
Anil Kapoor plays the role of Raj Kumar as well as Inspector Bansi Rao. Govinda plays the role of Bunnu and Police Commissioner of Mumbai.
Juhi Chawla plays the character of Dr. Neha Sharma, while Gafoor is played by Johnny Lever.

Deewana Mastana - the movie has been directed by David Dhawan. The music of the film has been composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The story has been written by Anees Bazmee.
In Bombay Raja sees Dr Neha at the airport and falls head over heels in love with her. Raja and Gafoor found out where she lived and worked. They came to know that Neha was a psychiatrist. Raja meets her introducing himself as Raj Kumar. He also lied to her that he has just returned from the US. When he really gets to know her better, trouble starts.
Bunnu (Govinda) is a the son of rich man (Anupam Kher). He is crazy and is petrified of water, heights, fire and many other things. His father sends him to Dr Neha so that he can be treated for his craziness. When he sets his eyes on Dr Neha for the first time Bunnu falls in love with her. Then begins the rat race between Bunnu and Raj Kumar, one mad and the other a fraud, to win Dr Neha's love.
The story takes a turn when Dr Neha goes to Ooty accompanied by her father(Saeed Jaffrey) to attend the wedding of her uncle( Shakti Kapoor). She does not tell Bunnu or Raja where she is going. However, both of them pose as police inspectors and force Dr Neha's secretary to tell them about her address in Ooty. When they arrive in Ooty, she is happy to see them both. However, she is drawn more to Bunnu.
Seeing his friend Raja loosing the battle to Bunnu, Ghaffor attempts to murder Bunnu. To take revenge, Bunnu hires a contract killer Pappu Pager(Satish Kaushik) to get rid off Raja. The plan fails. At the end of the movie Dr Neha tells Raja and Bunnu that she is in love with Salman Khan and she would marry him.
Deewana Mastana will make you laugh throughout the movie.
