Barsaat, a 2005 Bolywood movie, is really one of the different movies which this film industry has ever made. With its tagline 'A Sublime Love Story', the movie is enriched with all the ingredients one can expect to find in a romantic movie. Directed by Suneel Darshan, the movie revolves around three major characters Arav (Bobby Deol), Anna (Bipasha Basu) and Kajal (Priyanka Chopra). The movie received a huge admiration for wonderful acting and expert handling of the plot.
This movie is produced and written by Suneel Darshan. Barsaat is a remake of the American film Sweet Home Alabama (2002) and it has been able to provide a package entertainment to the audience. Although there are other two Bollywood films of the same name, it is not be confused with this current movie. This wonderful entertainer has got a good story line which is somewhat different from what we commonly find in other Bolywood movies.
The movie opens as the audience gets acquainted with Arav (Bobby Deol), who is an aspiring car designer. When he flies off to the United States, he meets the beautiful Anna (Bipasha Basu). As time went by, they both rang the cupid's bell and started loving each other. The movie Barsaat saw Bobby Deol in a different style and Bipasha looked gorgeous in her western designer outfit.
With this new development in his life, Arav returned to India with the intention of securing a divorce from his wife, Kajal (Priyanka Chopra). Kajal tries her best but Arav forces her to sign the divorce papers. With this hard-hearted deed, Arab felt guilty because of breaking Kajal's heart and he started feeling for her. While Anna arrives in India and started to prepare for their wedding, Kajal volunteered to be present in the wedding.
