Welcome is a comedy film made in the Hindi language. The film was directed by Anees Bazmee. It was released in the year 2007. The movie has several funny moments, which is bound to tickle your funny bones. Welcome is an out and out comedy. It is primarily a slapstick comedy and not a witty one.

Plot summary of Welcome:
Welcome revolves around the character of Rajiv. He is an eligible man but remained a bachelor because of his uncle, Dr. Ghungroo. His uncle wants a bride from such a family where no member have ever been to police station. But Rajiv falls in love with Sanjana, who was the youngest sister of the biggest criminal of the city. Rajiv was not aware that she is the sister of Uday Shetty. Uday's partner in crime is Majnubhai. He has a unique habit. He holds the people at gunpoint and paints the portraits of the persons. He calls it 'Live Painting'.

Manjubhai and Uday Shetty then tries to make the match between Sanjana and Rajiv. But Rajiv's uncle, Dr Ghongroo was strongly against the marriage. The couple then tries to mend the brothers. They make a plan and introduces Ishika ( Mallika Sherawat) in their lives. Very predictably, the two criminals falls in love with her. Their business takes a backseat. Then appears the biggest don of them all - RDX. This character was played by Feroz Khan. He enters the scene to make things right.

Akshay Kumar played his role well but was not given much of scope. Yet he was able to give a decent performance. Nana Patekar was given a meaty role and does justice to the character. Anil Kapoor was funny too as the caricaturish Majnubhai. Paresh Rawal also gave out a fine performance. Kathrina Kaif looked gorgeous and performs her part with utmost sincerity.

Music of Welcome:
The music of the film was scored by Himesh Reshammiya. Some of the songs of the film are Welcome, Tera Sarafa, Kola Laka Vellari, Insha Allah, Hoth Rasiley and Uncha Lamba.

Star cast of Welcome:
The main role is played by Akshay Kumar. He played the role of Rajeev. The character of Sanjana was played by Kathrina Kaif. The supporting cast of the film included Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal, Mallika Sherawat and others. Anil Kapoor played the character of Majnubhai and Uday Shetty's character was played by Nana Patekar.
