Directed by Satish Kaushik, Shaadi Se Pehle was a big commercial hit of 2006. Subhash Ghai is the producer of the movie. On April 6, 2006 Shaadi Se Pehle was released under the banner of Mukta Arts Limited.

The main character of Shaadi Se Pehle is Ashish Kapoor and Rani. Akshaye Khanna played the role of Ashish Kapoor while Ayesha Takia played the role of Rani. Ashish Kapoor and Rani are love birds who are deeply in love with each other. Ashish the main character of the movie has a problem. He had the habit of taking pills to control his nerves. Whenever he is in tension he takes pills to get rid of his nervousness.

One day the member of the Rani's family notice the habit of Ashish. They try hard to separate the love birds from each other. The role of Rohit is played by Aftab Shivdasani in the movie. Rohit is also in love with Rani. Rani facing all the odds remains close to Ashish.



In the later part of the story of Shaadi Se Pehle, Ashish go to the doctor. The doctor tells him that he has hypertension which he misunderstands as cancer. He becomes very depressed. He decides to create situations which will make Rani hate him. He does so because he does not want his lady love to be sad after his death.

Ashish starts open flirting with Sania played by Mallika Sherawat. One day, Rani finds Ashish and Sania close to each other. Seeing this she gets depressed and ultimately dumps Ashish.

Rani then tells her family to find out a good groom for her. Ultimately her family chooses Rohit as the suitable match for her. On one fine day Ashish ultimately finds out that he is fit and fine and does not have cancer. He then tries hard to break off the marriage of Rani and Rohit.
