Produced by Vashu Bhagnani and directed by David Dhawan, Shaadi No. 1 is one of the most famous Bollywood comedy movies. The film feature leading Bollywood stars like Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Zayed Khan, Sharman Joshi, Ayesha Takia, Soha Ali Khan, Esha Deol, Riya Sen, Aarti Chabria, Sophie Chaudhaury, Satish Shah and Rajpal Yadav in it. The plot of Shaadi No. 1 has been adapted from the Kannada movie Kothigalu Sir Kothigalu featuring Ramesh Arvind. The film became a hit at the box office soon after its release in 2005.

The story of Shaadi No. 1 revolves around 3 married couples. The wives are busy with their everyday life while their husbands are unhappy because the wives do not give them much time to romance. Raj, Veer and Aryan are the 3 husbands and their characters are played by Fardeen Khan, Zayed Khan and Sharman Joshi respectively. Among the wives, Bhavna is fully engrossed in religion while Diya strives hard to be an actress and Sonia is workaholic. The 3 husbands are gradually attracted towards 3 beautiful women named Madhuri, played by Riya Sen, Rekha played by Aarti Chabbria and Dimple, Sophie Chaudhury.

The plot of Shaadi No. 1, one of the hilarious in Bollywood movies. The film reaches its climax when the affairs are exposed to the wives by Lucki Bhai, played by Sanjay Dutt. The wives however refuse to believe Sanjay Dutt and finally the 3 girl friends and the wives of the heroes become friendly without knowing that they have fallen for the same men.

The music of Shaadi No. 1 is given by Anu Malik and Johny Lal. Lyrics of the film is composed by the reputed lyricist, Sameer. There are a number of songs and dance sequences in the film which also contributed to the immense popularity of the film. The film also stands out for the acting of the eminent actors and actresses of the films. The comic gestures and the dialogs of Sanjay Dutt evoke rolling laughter. Even the supporting actors and the actresses perform notably well.

The screenplay of the film is excellent. The sequences of the movie are nicely arranged and there is never a single moment when the audience feel bored. The language of the film is in Hindi and the running time is 145 minutes. The film has a number of comic scenes and which makes it one of the most enjoyable ones.
