Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon! is one of the most comic movies of Chandan Arora. The first thing that catches one attention is the unusual title of the movie. Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon! shows the superb handling of the comic plot in the movie.

Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon opens with a scene of nautanki in a small town called ´Gajraula. Nautanki are more or less similar to modern dance parties where Chuttki, the protagonist of the movie gives a brilliant performance. Chuttki thinks Madhuri Dixit to be her idol and aspires to become like her. In the nautanki she performs a few dances on Madhuri Dixit numbers.

To make her dream come true she finally leaves her town and reaches Mumbai. Her father gives her daughter a great deal of support. But he whishes to get her daughter get married.

Chuttki takes the help of her best friend Raja who is the son of the village pradhan. He tells every one that he would marry Chuttki and would go to Mumbai to start a new business.

Finally both Raja and Chuttki reaches Mumbai. Chuttki finds it very difficult to find a role for her. They eventually meet Ramgopal Verma who instead of offering roles to Chuttki, offers one to Raja. Finally both of them meet Govind Namdeo who agrees to be Chutki´s secretary. He sees a few dances of Chuttki and decides to offer her a few roles in some music videos. Govind Namdeo bags a film for Chuttki which also stars Shah Rukh Khan, Dev Anand, Sunny Deol and many other renowned stars of Bollywood.

But in the end she realizes that Shah Rukh Khan, Dev Anand and Sunny Deol are their look alike and not the real actors. She is devastated but Govind somehow convinces her. The movie is named 'Roshni' and both Raja and Chutki go to watch the first day first show of the movie. But to their dismay, the theater is half empty. They also face harsh comments of the audience.

Chuttki finally returns to her village. A few days later Gajaraula reaches her village and she convinces her that the movie has been a good hit in the villages and the towns. Antara Mali who plays the role of Chuttki in the film plays the character very well.

The director handled the subject deftly. Rajpal Yadav who plays the role of Raja performs brilliantly in the film. Though Chandan Arora's Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon! had a limited success in the Bollywood, the songs of the film were very popular.
