Jhankar Beats, a film by Pritish Nandy Communications, is a story that deals with love, friendship and music. The film star Juhi Chawla, Sanjay Suri, Rahul Bose, Rinke Khanna, Shayan Munshi and Riya Sen. Jhankaar Beats was released in the year 2003.

The film was directed by Sujoy Ghosh and was produced by Bobbie Ghosh. Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani are the music directors of the movie. While the film is edited by Suresh Pai, the cinematographer of the movie is Mazhar Kamran.

In the film Jhankar Beats, Deep (Sanjay Suri) is shown as a family person who is married to Shanti (Juhi Chawla). They have a little daughter Muskaan. Both he and his best friend Rishi (Rahul Bose) work in an advertising agency. Rishi is married to Nicky (Rinke Khanna) and they keep on fighting with one another. Both Rishi and Deep aspire to become musicians and they are especially obsessed with R.D Burman's music.

They perform in a local club and compete in a pop music concert named Jhankaar Beats.

The film starts with Rishi being kicked out of his house by Nicky. Deep's nagging mother-in-law also visits their house. Under such unfavorable situation both of them require to prepare an advertising campaign for a new client. After a few days later they meet Indraneel (Shayan Munshi) who is the son of their boss Mr. Kapoor. Neel is a guitarist and has some special feelings for Preeti (Riya Sen). His father creates some new problems for him. He asks his son to find a girl for himself or settle with the girl they choose for him.

Shanti on the other hand tries to convince Rishi to patch up with Nicky. Neel also in the mean time decides to join both Deep and Rishi. Finally the story ends with a happy note. All the problems are solved and they get what they wish in their life.

The movie was a handsome experiment with a bunch of newcomers except Juhi. All the songs of the movie are well placed and they are apt. Both Rahul Bose and Sanjay Suri were excellent in the movie. The comic gestures, the way of expressions of Rahul Bose were appreciated by the audience. Shayan Munshi also acted pretty well in the movie. Both Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi who appear as additional actors in the movie Jhankar Beats also did a good job.

The movie is a hilarious one and it is one of the most successful Bollywood Comedy Movies.
