The film has no songs like the other Bollywood films but has a catching background score. The plot of Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron revolves around two friends, Vinod Chopra and Sudhir Mishra. They are two photographers who wish to make it big with their studio in the Haji Ali area in Mumbai.

Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron shows that the two photographers are also has a tie up with a newspaper known as Khabardar. This newspaper is meant to unravel the secret lives of the various famous personalities in the city. The editor of the newspaper assigns them work which drives them deep into trouble. While taking photographs, they find out a murderer who is a famous real estate personnel named Tarneja. There are photographs of the murder being committed and this soon lands them up in trouble. They continue working with the newspaper until they find the dead body.

The plot of Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron intensifies from the moment the dead body is discovered. Everybody wants to take part in blackmailing one another. There are many efforts made by Vinod and Sudhir in order to prove to law the real killers. There are hilarious sequences in the film where everyone races to take the dead body. However in the end, the two photographers are accused of killing the commissioner as the real murderers escape by paying bribe to the police. The innocent are jailed and the real culprits roam away free.
