Chalo Ishq Ladaaye is a comic film produced by Vijay Mehta. The film was released in the year 2002 and starred Govinda and Rani Mukerji. Chalo Ishq Ladaaye is one of the peppy films that would make you laugh. It is one of the popular Bollywood Comedy Movies.

Chalo Ishq Ladaaye shows Sapna (Rani Mukerjee) as a successful Bollywood actress who is a fairly isolated. She has her own problems and drinks a lot to get rid of all her tensions. One day after drinking a lot, she hits a young man called Pappu (Govinda) with her car. Pappu receives some minor injuries. He is overwhelmed meeting Sapna and tells her that he would do anything for her.

Sapna asks her to kill her boyfriend, Rahul (Sanjay Suri). Pappu agrees and accomplishes the task. He later meets Sapna who denies her acquaintance with him. But Pappu shows her proof and asks Sapna to help her to get rid off of his aged grandmother. She together with Koki Bhai (Kader Khan) reaches the home of Pappu's grandmother.

But all the three are totally unaware of the fact that the ACP Kamat (Gulshan Grover) finds Pappu's connection with Rahul's sudden death. He keeps a constant eye on Pappu and his whereabouts.

The film was directed by Aziz Sejawal and was produced by Vijay Mehta. The music of the film was given by Himesh Reshammiya and Sanjoy Chowdhwry. The film borrows a good deal from the English movie film 'Strangers on a Train' of Alfred Hitchcock. There are seven songs in the film and some of the songs did pretty well. Some of the popular numbers of the movie are 'Akhiyon Se Goli Maare' and 'Waah! Tera Kya Kehna'. The songs of the movie are sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik and Subha Joshi. The film is full of funny incidents that would make you laugh.

Most of the films scenes of the film Chalo Ishq Ladaaye were shot in parts of Andhra Pradesh, especially Hyderabad. Rani Mukherjee looks good in the film and gives a solid performance in the movie. Govinda is at his best throughout the movie.

Apart from Govinda and Rani, Chalo Ishq Ladaaye casts Asrani, Jonny Lever, Mushtaq Khan, Kuljit Singh and many others. Though all of them appeared in small roles all the actors did a good job in the film.
