It is full of chaos and mistaken identity. No doubt, the film is a complete entertainer. The movie starred Akshaye Khanna, Rimi Sen, Aftab Shivdashini, Shoma Anand, Shakti Kapoor & Paresh Rawal.

Plot summary of Hungama:
Hungama starts off with Anjali, a young village girl, played by Rimi Sen. She comes to the city for job. She ultimately gets a job when a young man named Jeetu, played by Akshaye Khanna, mistakes her as the daughter of businessman Radheshyam Tiwari. The character of the business tycoon was played by Paresh Rawal. Jeetu wants to become rich in no time.

He does not want to work hard for it. He starts robbing money from his miserly father and is in the lookout of a rich girl to get married.

Nandu (Aftab Shivdasani) is another local boy who dreams of becoming a famous singer against his parents' wishes. He runs away from his home and reaches Mumbai. In order to get cheap accommodation in the city, he had to pretend that he and Anjali are married.

Radheshyam, on the other hand, suspects that his wife is having an extramarital affair with Jeetu. The suspicion continues to grow and it reaches such an extent that their marriage is on the rocks. Their son is Anil (Sanjay Narvekar) who dreams of getting married to the only daughter of Tejabhai or Kachraseth. But to impress the girl he can not reveal the fact that he is the son of Radheshyam Tiwari. Mrs Tiwari, played by Shoma Anand, was happily married until she meets Kachraseth. After the encounter she started believing that her husband has illegitimate children. The confusion and chaos continued to increase as the characters chase their fantasy and dreams in the rest of the film.

Paresh Rawal more or less carried the entire film on his shoulders. He gave an impressive performance. Akshaye Khanna and Aftab also performed well. Rimi Sen debuts in the film. She not only looked gorgeous but managed to show her acting capabilities as well. Other supporting casts of Hungama does justice to their characters.

The music of Hungama was composed by Nadeem Shravan and the cinematography is decent.
