Hera Pheri is truly an entertaining comedy film made in Hindi language. The film was directed by Priyadarshan. He has always been into serious film making. However, it is important to note that as a director, Priyadarshan did a commendable job in this film. Hera Pheri is a laugh riot and the dialogues were outstanding. The film starred Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles. All of them gave brilliant performances. Sunil Shetty came up with a mature acting. The supporting cast of the film includes Tabu, Gulshan Grover, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Om Puri and others. Everyone played their role with utmost sincerity.

Plot of Hera Pheri:
Hera Pheri is mainly about three people. Shyam, Raju and Babu Rao Apte. The character of Raju and Shyam were played by Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty. Paresh Rawal played their landlord, Babu Rao Apte. The two youths were unemployed. They were searching for jobs.

Shyam came to Mumbai for a job in a bank, where his late father used to work. Raju has his own problems. Her mother lives in an old age home and thinks that her son is doing business in Calcutta. Babu Roa is a drunkard but is kind in nature.

Shaym needs the job because he has to pay his debts. He is competing for the job with Anuradha. At first both of them were at each other's throat but Shaym decides to step back after knowing the family condition of Anuradha. Om Puri plays the role of Kharak Singh. He has lent Shyam Rs 35,000/- and needs the money for his sister's marriage. He is an innocent man and came to Mumbai in search of Shyam.

Another interesting twist in the plot of the film came when Kabbera, a dreaded gangster kidnaps the grand daughter of industrialist Kulbhushan Kharbanda. Kabbera played by Gulshan Grover calls up the trio for the ransom. They fell in this tricky situation by a wrong number. After much discussion, the three men decide to save the kid from the criminal and make money in between. Innumerable hilarious situation develops depicting the tryst of the trio with the cops and the Gangster.

Music of Hera Pheri:
The music of Hera Pheri was composed by Anu Malik, Lalit Sen and Bally Sagoo. The songs include Denewala Jab bhi deta, Tun Tunak Tun, Humba Leela, Main Ladka Pom Pom, Mujhse Milti Hai Ek Ladki, Jab Bhi Koi Kaseena and Sun zara.
