Plot summary of Haad kar di Aapne: Haad kar di Aapne starts off with Ritu Shiv Puri and Nirmal Pandey. They are husband and wife and play the character of Anjali and Sanjay. They are desperately seeking divorce but the petition was turned down by the court because of lack of adequate evidence. To catch his husband red handed, Anjali decides to arrange for a fake trip. The evidence will help her to get the divorce.

She swaps ticket with Rani Mukherjee who is also known by the name Anjali. Her husband also plans the same thing and asks Raj, played by Govinda, to do some sleuthing.

Then the film's location shifts to Switzerland. Govinda is found to be following his lady love and a group of Indian tourist also contributes on their own to the love story, so that the two can be together. They ultimately fall in love with each other but almost got separated due to mistaken identity. However, the film ends on a happy note and the lovers were united.

Govinda played multiple roles in the film. He played the role of a dumb detective and also appears in innumerable guises such as a unsteady grandfather to bad-tempered grandmother to a nubile girl. He played each character with confidence and was at ease. He played it with conviction and manages to entertain the audience with his comic timing. Rani Mukherjee was able to match with Govinda's comic stature. Paresh Rawal and Johnny Lever put more comedy into the film. Johnny Lever played double role in the film.

The music of Haad kar di Aapne was composed by Anand Raaj Anand. The title track of the film was by Udit Narayan and Kavita Krishnamurthy. The most popular number of the film was Kudi Kunwari by Jaspinder Narula. Other tracks of the film were Beqarar Main Beqarar, Oye Raju, Mujhe Kuch Tumse Hain, Phir Tote Se Boli Maina and others. Most of the songs were shot in beautiful locales of Europe.
