Mahesh Bhatt is the director of the movie. Shahrukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, Sonali Bendre, Farida Jalal, Tiku Talsania, Gulshan Grover, and Mohnish Bahl constitute the cast of the movie. In this movie, Shahrukh Khan plays the role of Bablu Chaudhary who is an aspiring cook. He is on the lookout for a job and finally applies for a post in a hotel. Here, he meets Sonia Kapoor (Juhi Chawla). She is the Banquet Manager of this hotel. Both of them get attracted to each other. Bablu eventually falls in love with Sonia.



One day, the police comes and arrests Bablu. Bablu is the look-alike of Manu Dada, who is a notorious criminal. Manu Dada meanwhile, looks for the sum of money which was robbed from him. When Manu comes to know about his look-alike, he wants to switch roles and then kill him later to begin a new life.

Manu kidnaps Bablu's mother, Mrs. Chaudhary (Farida Jalal) and Bablu feigns as Manu in order to free Sonia and his mother. He finally rescues his loved ones with some help from Manu's girlfriend Lily (Sonali Bendre) and the police. The climax of the movie is hilarious yet all the very intriguing. Shahrukh's acting in this movie is worth appreciation. You will certainly enjoy watching Shahrukh play the role of both Bablu and Manoo. The spectators find this potboiler very entertaining. Juhi as always looks gorgeous in the movie. It is an absolute pleasure to see Farida Jalal on the silver screen. The songs of Duplicate are very melodious. Farah Khan's excellent choreography deserves all the praise from the world. From slick camerawork and effects to gorgeous sets, the movie is very stylized and colorful.

Duplicate as a blockbuster has all the ingredients to entertain the moviegoers.
