Dulhe Raja is a Bollywood comedy film, which was released in the year 1998. The film was directed by Harmesh Malhotra. Dulhe Raja starred Govinda, Ravenna Tandon, Kader Khan, Johnny Lever and others. Plot summary of Dulhe Raja:
Dulhe Raja begins with Kader Khan who plays the role of Mr. Singaria. He is a millionaire and is facing trouble after buy a new hotel. The problem is related to Raja, played by Govinda. He the owner of a Dhaba, which is adjacent to the hotel. Most of the hotel guests dine at the dhaba and not in the hotel. This has been a perennial matter of concern for all the hotel owners. But they remained unsuccessful in handling this properly. Raveena plays the role of Kader Khan's daughter. She is attracted towards Rahul, played by Mohnish Behl. The feud between Govida and Kader continues and in the time, Govinda falls in love with Raveena.
Kader met Mohnish and was disgusted with the idea that his daughter wants to get hitched to him. He takes the pledge that Raveena can marry his greatest enemy Govinda but not Mohnish. Kadar, with time, realizes that Raja is the one for her daughter. Raveena wants Mohnish but Mohnish is only interested in her money. After some more twists and turns, Govinda ends up becoming the husband of Raveena.
The cast of Dulhe Raja is well chosen. Govinda yet again proved his talent. He gave an excellent performance and intertwined clean humor with groovy dialogues. He managed to make the audience laugh. Johnny Lever as the hotel's manager gave a hilarious performance. Kader Khan and Raveena also acted well.
The most famous song of Dulhe Raja was Ankhiyo Se Goli Maare. Both Sonu Nigam and Jaspinder Narula sang exceptionally. The right fusion of Bhanga beats with western melody makes this foot tapping number a major hit. Another song sung by Sonu Nigam is "Aayi Ban Ke Rut Mastani". It is a love song and he was joined by Anuradha Paudwal. "Ladka Deewana Lage" is a fun number that is typical of Govinda. This song was sung by Udit Narayan and Anuradha Paudwal. The title track of the movie was by Anuradha Paudwal and Vinod Rathode. The album has a sad song named "Nigahen Kyun Churaati Hai". Udit Narayan teams up with Ram Shankar to sing the track. Other songs of the film are Kya Lagti Hai Hai Rabba" and "Kahan Raja Bhoj Kahan Gangu Teli".
