Bachke Rehna Re Baba is a story about the philandering ways of an aunt and a niece. The movie is a remake of box office hit Hollywood movie, Heartbreakers. The movie has Rekha and Mallika Sherawat playing the lead roles. Bachke Rehna Re Baba was directed by Govind Menon.

Rukmini is well into her early 40s and is still unmarried. She is deft at conning rich men. She is discreet enough to not fall in love with the man she dupes. Over the years, she has mastered the art of beguiling the rich. She decides to let her orphaned niece, Padmini live with her. Padmini is still not mature enough to pull off a con on her own. But she has enormous sex appeal which makes her well suited to carry off the job effectively.

Rukmini and Padmini together devise a scheme to entrap wealthy men. Having done so they planned to rob them of their money, abandon them, and move on to their next targets.

The modus operandi of the two sensuous swindlers was well thought out. Rukhmini lures rich people into marrying her. Then, according to their plan, Padmini seduces Rukhmini's new husband. Rukhmini catches the 2 in a compromising position. She then files for a divorce, claiming big money in alimony for her emotional anguish at her husband's infidelity.

Both the women Rukmini and Padmini do succeed for quite a while, assuming fictitious names. They amass a vast fortune. While going about their business as usual Padmini falls in love with one of her targets named Raghu, and decides to give up her ways. An alarmed Rukmini, who owes money to Monty, decides she cannot go it alone. Unwilling to give up her ways she hits upon a plan that will force Padmini to give up on Raghu and go about their business as usual.

Rukmini's first move is to seduce an equally unsuspecting Raghu and ensure that Padmini is a witness to this. However street-smart Padmini gets inkling about her auntie's intentions. She devises ways to negate her auntie's moves. The movie ends with the aunty finally realizing that there is something more to life than simply amassing wealth, be it by good or bad deeds.
