The plot of Andaaz Apna Apna is about two people trying to get rich in the shortest possible way. The two people are Prem and Amar, both of whom are slackers and day dreamers.

In this film, Raveena is an heiress and her secretary is Karisma. For the purpose of fun, Raveena asks Karisma to act as the heiress and she as the secretary. Amar comes to know that the heiress is looking for a groom and he sets out to impress the heiress so that she falls in love with him. However, Prem too who has similar ambitions meets Amar on the way and from then on starts the roller coaster ride of fun in the movie. Both try hard to convince the heiress and outdo each other in showing their affections creating a laugh riot.

In Andaaz Apna Apna, amidst fun and frolic, a new turn takes place in the plot when it is discovered that a villain is plotting the murder of the heiress for her wealth. The film ends with lovers being united with their chosen ones and the villains are defeated. The heiress is saved from her tormentors and all ends on a happy note. The rivalries of the two characters Prem and Amar is fun to watch and so is their wooing style. There are witty dialogues in the film as well as many songs and dance typical of the Bollywood films.
