Zanjeer presents the story of an honest police officer Vijay. He is trapped by a gangster Teja and put in jail for 6 months. He is jailed on false charges as planned by Teja. After his release from jail Vijay plans to take revenge of his injustice. The story ends in Vijay`s success of taking his avenge against Teja.
