Tridev is one of the best action movies in Bollywood, which was released in 1989. Director of this popular Bollywood action movie was Rajiv Rai. Tridev is a saga full of actions by three protagonists of the film, which have been played by Jackie Shroff, Naseeruddin Shah and Sunny Deol. They uprise jointly against Bhujang, a man, who leads notorious criminals.

Bhujang plans to devastate the entire nation of India with crimes. The three lead characters in the film unite by coming from separate walks of life. But the common qualities that they possess in them are truthfulness, valor and disgust for Bhujang and other criminals like him.

Synopsis of Tridev -
Karan, played by Sunny Deol, is a courageous and sincere police officer who chases the criminals like Bhujang in the city of Mumbai. Bhujang's partner in crime tries to frame Karan and transfer his job to Madhavpur, a distant village. Karan remains sincere regarding his job and faces the village people who are involved in illegal acts.



Jay Singh, played by Naseeruddin Shah, is one of the outlaws among these criminals who is a nice man trying to stand up for the exploited. However, Jay and Karan become buddies. After Bhujang kidnaps Divya, daughter of the Mumbai Police Officer, her brother Ravi, played by Jackie Shroff, releases her by becoming an accomplice of Bhujang. He takes his revenge on this criminal.

After several attempts and rebirths, the three protagonists demolish the criminal world of Bhujang and other things associated with it. The three leading female characters help these three male protagonists in their mission.

Music in Tridev -
Tridev is till date popular worldwide for its music. All the songs from Tridev, especially 'Oye Oye', were great hits. Renowned Bollywood playback singers like Alka Yagnik, Sandhna Sargam, Alisha Chinoy, Amit Kumar and Udit Narayan lent their voices in Tridev. The most popular songs in Tridev comprise 'Tirchi Topi Wale', 'Raat Bhar Jam' and 'Gali Gali Mein'.

Nominations and awards received by Tridev -
Tridev was honored with only one Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback, which was handed over to Sapna Mukherjee. However, Tridev received many nominations for the Filmfare Award. These nominations were given to Tridev for the categories of Best Supporting Actor, Best Male Playback and Best Music Director.
