As one of the Bollywood action movies, Krrish has made a name for itself. Krrish is an action packed sci-fi movie which was directed by Rakesh Roshan. The film was released as a sequel to `Koi Mil Gaya`. As is common among various other Bollywood action movies, Krrish also takes a lot of inspiration from the Hollywood movie "Paycheck".

Krrish is different from many other action movies that have fired the Bollywood silver screen since it is the first movie to actually have a superhero, Krrish played by Hrithik Roshan. The main cast of Krrish includes Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Rekha and Naseeruddin Shah while Preity Zinta gives a guest performance. Widely successful and popular for its technical flicks, Krrish has become one of the favourites of the young people. Kids can easily identify their Indian superhero with their Hollywood counterparts,, Batman and Superman.



The story of Krrish as a sequel takes off from where the earlier story of Koi Mil Gaya was left off. In this film, the protagonists of the earlier film, Rohit and Nisha played by Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta respectively marry and have a child who is to be predictably the protagonist of the film. With the news of the apparent death of Rohit, Nisha too dies leaving behind their sole child in the custody of his grandmother, played by Rekha. The child, named Krishna is soon discovered possessing traits of miraculous power from his father, who in turn got this from the extraterrestrial creature named Jadoo of Koi Mil Gaya.

The main plot of the film shows Krishna`s use of his supernatural powers to preserve the world against the threatening mechanisms of a megalomaniac scientist called Dr. Siddhant Arya. This character is played by Naseeruddin Shah. Originally Rohit was hired by Dr. Siddhant Arya to develop a means through which the future could be discovered. The penetrating brilliance of Rohit enables him to discover this secret in just two years. However, Rohit soon learns that the power that the scientist would gain was mainly for empowering himself. Hence Krishna destroys the computer. The scientist eventually takes another 20 years to rebuild it.

Meanwhile Krishna meets with his lady love Priya, predictably saving her from a fatal fall by using his Herculean strength. After an intriguing climax Krishna rescues her and also his apparently dead father from the scientist. The film veers off to a petite and satisfying conclusion of mutual harmony and happiness.
