Story of Koyla
The story of Koyla is very interesting and is full of twists and turns. In this film, Shankar (Shahrukh Khan) is a mute person. He is raised by the powerful Raja-Saab (Amrish Puri) who treats him like a slave. In Koyla, the elderly Raja-Saab wants to marry Gauri (Madhuri Dixit), a vivacious young girl. As Gauri wants to see a snap of her future husband first, Raja-Saab sends her the picture of Shankar.
Seeing Shankar's snap, Gauri immediately falls in love with him and the wedding proceeds. But when Gauri comes to know that the person with whom she is married is not Shankar, she refuses to give in to Raja-Saab's claims. As a result, Raja-Saab imprisons and tortures her. When her brother comes to save her, Raja-Saab kills him.
Finally, in Koyla, Shankar who is played by Shahrukh Khan comes to save Gauri. As both of them flee, Raja-Saab tries to capture them. In the end both of them meet and the villain gets killed by Shankar.
Koyla is an action packed blockbuster and is worth a watch.
