Plot of Ghayal
Ghayal depicts the story of a dutiful brother who is wrongly charged with a false accusation. Sunny Deol puts up a meaningful performance. As a young student in search of justice for his brother and family, Sunny has put up a commendable performance. Raj Babbar who plays the role of Sunny`s brother is killed by Amrish Puri. Puri is the leader of a notorious gang, but he goes scot free. Sunny also loses his sister in law, and is suspected of the murders. With a family life that is shattered, Sunny has to take the burden for himself. Emotions reach their climax when Sunny`s career takes a new turn.
Sunny lives a strenuous life in jail. But he soon decides to break open the jail and avenge the injustice meted out. Sunny becomes friendly with few and with their help, comes out of the jail. The plot takes some turns as Sunny finds out the real killer. Besides the action scenes, there are some melodramatic dialogues in the film. These speeches aim to question the stringiest rules as maintained by the society.
Ghayal puts forward a strong message. Besides, the role of the police force, Ghayal also shows many reasons which can force an innocent person to turn hostile. A family movie for all ages, Ghayal deserves a special mention in the genre of social movies. One can also recall Ghayal for bagging some awards in the year of its release.
