The story of movie Dus is an action packed movie. It starts off with Siddhant Dheer played by Sanjay Dutt. He is the head of the Anti-Terrorist Cell which is a fictitious organization. He is on a mission to uncover the fact that a terrorist attack will take place on May 10th. It is estimated that if the attack takes place nearly 25,000 people will be killed.

About the terrorist attack the only information available is about the person behind it. The man behind is called 'Jambhal'. Meanwhile Neha played by Esha Deol is an agent in Canada. She reports to Siddhant Dheer that Himat Mehendi who is one of Jambhal's men is in a Canadian jail.

In the movie Dus, Shashank Dheer played by Abhishek Bachchan is the younger brother of Siddhant and co-agent Aditya Singh is played by Zayed Khan. Their job was to kidnap and interrogate Mehendi. The mission is to remain unofficial and secret to the Canadian authorities.

But unfortunately in the movie Dus things become complicated when it is found by Siddhant that a double agent in working with them. This forces him to suspect his co-agent and love interest Aditi Kumar played by Shilpa Shetty. When they arrive in Canada Shashank and Aditya discover that the car provided to them by Neha is fitted with explosives. Therefore if they slow down the car might explode.

The character Dan which is played by Sunil Shetty is a Canadian police officer. He chases Shashank and Aditya as they are speeding beyond the permissible speed limit. But Dan is unaware that Shashank is driving at a high speed to avoid explosion. The agents capture Mehendi played by Pankaj Kapoor and are intercepted by Dan again. The terrorist tries to recapture him but they fight them off while Dan is caught in this crossfire. Dan now discovers about the mission and is taken to Neha's safe house. The agents are led by Himat to Asif who has turned against Jambhal. He discloses Jhambal's location and kills himself for fear of J.D. The agents find and kill 'Jhambal' and release Mehendi. Later they find that the real 'Jhambal' was Mehendi and Irfan was the second traitor.

The name of the terrorist attack in Dus is 'JEET' which Siddhant believes the letters in the name refer to the 10th, 5th, 5th and 20th numerical position in the alphabets. He believes that the 10/5 refers to May 10th, the second 5 is the time of attack - 5 pm and 20 or 20000 are possibly the number of people will be dead. They believe that the only place where a huge crowd can be present at that time was a special exhibition soccer match between Canada and India. In this event the Prime Minister of India will also be present.

In the end of the movie Dus, Aditya find 10 C-4 bombs in a car with a registration 2020. Shashank and Neha find another bomb and take it away from the stadium. Aditya takes the bombs to a wilderness where it explodes. Meanwhile Shashank and Neha pack the bomb on an airplane and confess their love for one another. But they couldn't find a safe place to drop the bomb and crashes the plane into a lake and kills themselves. Meanwhile J.D. is confronted by Siddhant in a hotel elevator. Siddhant kills the terrorist shaken by his brother's death.

This action packed movie was a hit in the box office even though a number of movies were released at the same time.
