The movie was released in the year 2006 and is a sequel to the popular movie Dhoom. Dhoom 2 was known for its wonderful stunt effects and star cast. It created sensation in the box office and made huge business in the Indian market as well as overseas.

Dhoom 2 was directed by well known director Sanjay Gadhvi. The film was released under the banner of popular film company Yash Raj Films. Due to its immense popularity, the movie was dubbed into Tamil and Telegu. Sanjay Gadhvi is a well known director in the Hindi film industry. Dhoom 2 was the 4th film under his direction.

The wonderful star cast of Dhoom 2 was also responsible for its huge success. The film starred Bollywood super stars like Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra and Bipasha Basu. The music of the movie was an added advantage. The plot of Dhoom 2 revolves around a professional and clever burglar known as Mr. A. The role is played by Hrithik Roshan. The unique part of Mr. A is that he leaves a mark like the alphabet A after each robbery and theft. He is adept in disguise and is engaged in various high profile thefts.

Mr. A is pursued by ACP Jai Dixit and ACP Shonali Bose. Jai is played by Abhishek Bachchan while the role of Shonali is played by Bipasha Basu. They are assisted by Sun Inspector Ali Akbar. Uday Chopra plays the role of Ali. Meanwhile A is captivated by the charms of a woman named Sunehri. The part is played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. A and Sunehri spend time together and Sunehri (who actually is a police informer) supplies information about A to Jai.

The movie ends in a fake encounter between Sunehri and Aryan. The police are duped and the couple succeeds in escaping.

Dhoom 2 was also popular for its wonderful stunt actions. The acting was also superb and the plot construction and camera work were an added advantage. The songs that were composed by Pritam became chart busters in the box office. The film was hugely successful in the foreign market and made good business.
