Aandha Kanoon, released in the year of 1983, is often regarded as one of the best and most popular Bollywood action movies. It was directed by T. Rama Rao while the producer of Aandha Kanoon was A. P. Rao. This film became a big hit as an action movie and the most interesting thing about the popularity of this film is that it is still popular among the viewers in the recent years which prove clearly that it is one of those Bollywood films that never get old.

Aandha Kanoon stars a good number of star actors. Rajnikant, Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini and Reena Roy are the leading cast. There are also some other supporting cast that includes Danny Denzongpa, Amrish Puri, Madan Puri, Pran, Prem Chopra and Asrani. Dharmendra has also starred in a guest appearance.

The story of Aandha Kanoon mainly focuses on the malpractices that are exercised by the law keepers as well as the anti-socials. Vijay Kumar Singh (Rajnikant) has witnessed the murder of his father and sister in his early childhood. He is keen on avenging his father`s and sister`s murders. Growing up, he successfully kills all three of them and makes it look like accidents.



Vijay chances to meet Jan Akhtar Khan who had returned from jail. He was an honest forest officer and had once a very happy family with his wife. He came across some loggers cutting and exporting the timbers. He tries to stop the malpractice and also refused the bribe offered to him. There was combat in which a person died, and it was projected that Khan was the murderer. After he was sent to the jail, his wife committed suicide. After getting released from the jail, Khan is determined to take the revenge.

The acting of Rajnikant in Aandha Kanoon has been highly appreciated. His temper that he carries with him while shooting for this film suited well with the role that he played. The other artistic tricks and the tone of throwing the dialogues have been praised by the average audience. The song sequences are also above average. Amitabh has done very well with his limited role in the movie. Hema Malini seems to be the right choice for playing the role of the lady police inspector. Andha Kanoon is a good movie with strong performances and screenplay that you would enjoy watching.
