Anand and Milind are the sons of the renowned music director of Indian cinema, Chitragupt Shrivastav. He was well known during the 60`s. The musical training of Anand-Milind was provided by their father. Music, especially the Western classical music, had been their favorite taste since childhood.
It was very easy for them to walk on their father`s footsteps because music was a part of their culture and heritage. Milind showed proficiency in piano; whereas, Anand excelled as a guitarist. During their first steps as music directors, Anand-Milind assisted their father for complete 8 years.

Whenever the name of Anand-Milind is taken, one recalls the pair of Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla and those evergreen melodious songs of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. They debuted in the film industry with the music of Ab Aayega Mazaa in 1984; however, their first box office was Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak of 1988. Each and every song was extremely melodious and helped the new duo, Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla to become a hit pair.
Songs like `Papa Kehte Hain`, `Akele Hai To Kya Gham Hai`, `Ghazab Ka Hai Din`, and `Aye Mere Humsafar` are still hummed by today`s crowd.
