Adesh Srivasatava - Introduction -
Adesh Srivasatava started his career by creating fresh melodious tunes. He has already become a popular music director in Bollywood but has to be more successful in life as a composer. He is a talented music composer but has not reached the top position among the contemporary music directors in Bollywood. Jatin Lalit are the brothers-in-law of Adesh Srivasatava.
Career of Adesh Srivasatava -
Earlier, Adesh Srivasatava aspired to start his professional career as a doctor, but, his intense love for music, forced him to opt for a career in the music industry. He took lessons on drum playing and moved to Mumbai. He met Sapan-Jagmohan in Mumbai and started to strive hard for establishing a sound position in Bollywood by working as drummer for famous music directors like Shankar Jaikishan, Salil Chowdhury and O.P. Nayyar. He worked as an assistant with Laxmikant Pyarelal for around ten years prior to the beginning of his career as a music director.
Adesh Srivasatava started his career with his music for the 19993 film `Kanyadaan`. The first song in this film, tune of which was created by him, was sung by Lata Mangeshkar. But this movie was not released and the songs remained overlooked. This was repeated in the case of his second film `Jaane Tamanna` as a music director. But his music in the film `Aao Pyar Kare` hit the box office. Other films of Bollywood for which Adesh composed popular songs include `Angaarey` and `Shastra`.

Some of the best songs composed by Adesh Srivasatava in his career as a music director are `Shava shava`, `Sona sona`, `Gur nalon ishw mitha` and Gustakhiyaan`. Other films, for which Adesh Srivasatava composed great melodious tunes, include `Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai`, `Tarkieb`, `Kunwara` and `Baghban`. Adesh also received nomination for the category of the `Best Music Director` for the film `Chalte Chalte`, which starred Shahrukh Khan. His album Dil Kahin Hosh Kahin also contained beautiful songs by Jagjit Singh, Asha Bhosle and Lata Mangeshkar. Music of the swinging ghazal `Kiska chehra` by Alka Yagnik and Jagjit Singh was also composed by Adesh Srivasatava.
Most of the films, for which Adesh Srivasatava worked, contain a Punjabi song as he is a keen lover of Punjabi music. His song `Jab nahin aaye they tum` drew attention as it established him as a really great music director.
