This movie is based on a book by the same name in which he played Captain Nemo co starring with the likes of Sean Connery. This was in the year 2003.

Shah is considered to be a brilliant theater actor as well. In the year 2001, he was seen in the theatrical adaptation based on the short stories written by the popular short-story writer Ismat Chugtai.
