Who has not heard of Bollywood? For Hindi films are watched with avid interest not only in India but all over the world. Arjun Rampal born in the year 1972, first started off as a model and then appeared in numerous ad- films. Arjun Rampal's debut film, 'Moksha' got released in the year 2001. It was directed by Ashok Mehta. However, his second film 'Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat' got released earlier. In tbis movie, he starred along with other famous Bollywood actors, Sunil Shetty and Aftab Shivdasani Rampal's performance was lauded by critics. In fact, Arjun Rampal went on to achieve Face of the Year award for this movie. This was conferred on him by the International Indian Film Academy.



He went on to act in films like 'Aankhen' (2002), 'Dil Hai Tamara' (2002), 'Yakeen' (2005) and 'Ek Ajnabee' (2005). In the year 2006, he made a guest appearance in the film 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna'. Though cast in a supporting role, he carried of the role with conviction and ease. He would also be remembered for the movie 'Don', after he retires from acting. The story of this film was based on the 1978 hit by the same name. Arjun Rampal played the role of Jasjit, which was played by the veteran actor Pran in the earlier movie of the same name.

It was on the brink of the year 2007 that the film "I See You" was released. It was co- produced by his. wife, Mehr Jesia. It is to be said here that Arjun Rampal will however be most remembered for the role, which he enacted in the film "Om Shanti Om". Cast in a negative role, a far cry from the sensitive character played by him in actress Aishwarya Rai's home production, the movie, 'Om Shanti Om', won him a Filmfare nomination. In 'Om Shanti Om'- a Farah Khan production, he played the role of a shrewd ruthless director who kills her actress wife-Shantipriya and pays for his sins at the end of this movie.

Audiences are eagerly waiting to see him in the English film "The Last Lear", which is possibly scheduled for release, late this year.

Married to Ex Miss-India and supermodel Mehr Jesia, he has two daughters.
