Piyush Mishra is not only popular for his Hindi lyrics but he is known for his famous playwrights in Hindi. He is even a script writer, dialogue writer and an actor. He graduated from National School of Drama, Delhi in the year 1986. He completed his early schooling from Gwalior. He still works for a big theater group in New Delhi known as "Act One." Having acted in a TV serial called Rajdhani for Star TV, he is often called the all rounder of the present generation. The serial was directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia.

Mani Ratnam offered him his debut film Dil Se in 1998. He was working for theaters even after Dil Se happened to him. He was working hard for his theaters but there after he was introduced to write for films in the year 2001. His career did not only saturate as a writer or actor. He even started writing for songs of Hindi films. He wrote lyrics for several films which include Black Friday, Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar, Aaja Nachle and Tashan. His dialogues for the film Yahaan and The Legend of Bhagat Singh brought him great honors.



Piyush Mishra won the Zee Cine Awards for his dialogues in The Legend of Bhagat Singh in the year 2003. He also received acclamations for his acting in Jhoom Barabar Jhoom in 2007. He was also acknowledged for his acting in the film Maqbool.

Piyush Mishra is one of the most promising lyricist, actor, dialogue writer and script writer of Bollywood in the present days.
