Born on 27th January 1969, Vikram Bhatt is a famous Bollywood writer and director. Bhatt is well known for remaking Hollywood films. He is nephew of director Mahesh Bhatt and is the son of Mukes Bhatt. Vikram Bhatt is famous in film industry for making films of varied genres, throughout his career. He is also talked about his relationship with Bollywood actress Amisha Patel.
He made films of different genres and also did script writing like Yakeen, Bardaasht in the year 2005 and Aetbaar in the year 2004. In 2007 Vikram Bhatt made his debut film Life Mein Kabhie Kabhie, Speed and Red. In Speed Vikram cast Zayed Khan and Urmila Matondkar. He made another Indian film Ankahee which was produced by Pritish Nandy and Rangita Pritish Nandy. Aftab Shivdasani, Amisha Patel and Esha Deol acted in this movie.
Before Ankahee was released 'Deewane Hue Paagal' which had a great influence of Firoz Nadiadwala style of action-comedies. Several other good movies made by Vikram Bhatt were Jurm which was released in 2005, Elaan (2005), Aetbaar (2004), Footpath (2003), Inteha (2002), Awara Paagal Deewana (2002), Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage (2002),
Raaz, a fantasy thriller made in 2002, Kasoor, a 2001 Bollywood thriller movie starring Aftab Shivdasani as Shekhar Saxena and Lisa Ray as Simran Bhargav, heavily inspired from a Hollywood film Jagged Edge. Ghulam (1998), Bombai Ka Babu (1996), Madhosh in 1994 and Jaanam in 1993.
Vikram Bhatt also did script writing for the films like Yakeen a Bollywood thriller directed by Girish Dhamija and starring Arjun Rampal and Priyanka Chopra released in 20065. Bardasht was another Bollywood venture of Vikram Bhatt which was released in the year 2004. He did script writing for Aetbaar, starring Amitabh Bachchan, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu in the year 2004.
