The story of the film Parineeta revolved around 2 childhood friends. The friends grow up and fall in love. But they are separated through a number of misunderstandings that is created by the boy`s father. But eventually, the youth realizes his folly and wins back his love. It was a simple story that was directed beautifully by Pradeep Sarkar.

In his first movie itself, Pradeep Sarkar got the opportunity to work with big stars like Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Rekha and Diya Mirza. It was the best opportunity and Pradeep Sarkar made the most of it. His other releases after Parineeta include Eklavya: The Royal Guard and Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. In Eklavya, Pradeep Sarkar had Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan as one of the main leads apart from Saif Ali Khan and Vidya Balan. His next movie `Laaga Chunari Mein Daag` saw him working with leading ladies like Rani Mukherjee and Konkona Sen.

Pradeep Sarkar has showed immense talents in his work and is coming up with new concepts and ideas with his films. His films are an absolutely perfect combination of creativity, passion, culture, ethics and talents.
